January Craft Classes

These are the things we made at the January craft classes in Carterton. We made 3 cards and a box, I had a theme of using a brayer in all but one of the projects.

The first card we masked off the moon/sun and used a brayer and bashful blue ink to create the sky. We used the summer silhoutes stamp set and the 'make a wish' stamp from the sweet essentials stamp set. The effect of the flowers and make a wish was created using re-inkers dropped onto an baby wipe to create an ink pad. We also added a ribbon and butterfly.

For the second card we used the same stamp sets again and used an embossing folder to create the pattern at the bottom using the brayer to transfer the pattern from the inked up embossing folder to the card. It was finished off with gems, ribbon and glitter.

For the last card I gave people a bit of a choice of either a birthday or valentines card and in two different colourways. Both cards used the up, up and away stamp set.

This was the 3D item we made using the SU milkcarton die. We die out two cartons, but chopped off one of the panels, then after scoring we joined both of the three panel shapes together. The letter on the front was made using embossing in clear embossing powder and then going over the top with a brayer in rose red ink. The excess ink was wiped off the letter to reveal the letter.

Thanks to everyone that came. I'm now starting to think about makes for the next class in Carterton which will be on the 7th Feb 7 - 9.30pm. It'll include using the sale-a-bration products which are part of a fabulous promotion that starts on 22nd Jan.

Thanks for stoppping by.
