Scrapbooking

Morning all. I have something a bit different to show you today, scrapbooking. I'm a novice at this but yesterday was inspired at a local crop and managed to get 3 pages done.

This is the first double page spead. I used a retired stampin up scrapbook kit. For me these kits make scrapbooking so much easier as everything co-ordinates perfectly.

I'd like to enter this into a challenge at Allsorts challenge - week 191 - Masculine

The third page was one taught by the lovely lady called Carole that runs the crop. Although the papers aren't SU, all the cardstock is. This was my sons first day at pre-school, the layout is perfect to hightlight one photo, although not the quickest and easiest page to make.

I hope you liked my pages.
Don't forget to pop over to my FB page and enter my competition to win a new Su stamp set. Only one week to enter now.

January Craft Classes

These are the things we made at the January craft classes in Carterton. We made 3 cards and a box, I had a theme of using a brayer in all but one of the projects.

The first card we masked off the moon/sun and used a brayer and bashful blue ink to create the sky. We used the summer silhoutes stamp set and the 'make a wish' stamp from the sweet essentials stamp set. The effect of the flowers and make a wish was created using re-inkers dropped onto an baby wipe to create an ink pad. We also added a ribbon and butterfly.

For the second card we used the same stamp sets again and used an embossing folder to create the pattern at the bottom using the brayer to transfer the pattern from the inked up embossing folder to the card. It was finished off with gems, ribbon and glitter.

For the last card I gave people a bit of a choice of either a birthday or valentines card and in two different colourways. Both cards used the up, up and away stamp set.

This was the 3D item we made using the SU milkcarton die. We die out two cartons, but chopped off one of the panels, then after scoring we joined both of the three panel shapes together. The letter on the front was made using embossing in clear embossing powder and then going over the top with a brayer in rose red ink. The excess ink was wiped off the letter to reveal the letter.

Thanks to everyone that came. I'm now starting to think about makes for the next class in Carterton which will be on the 7th Feb 7 - 9.30pm. It'll include using the sale-a-bration products which are part of a fabulous promotion that starts on 22nd Jan.

Thanks for stoppping by.

Summer Sihouettes...again

Morning all here's another card to show you using the summer silhouettes stamp set.
This time I've used spring/summer colours and decorated the crumb cake base card with a stamp from the same set.

I've used pumpkin pie, gumball green, dafodill delight, rich razzleberry and soft suede ink. I've embossed the card using the SU elegant bouquet folder, added some daffodil delight stitched grosgrain ribbon and butterflies cut from the beautiul wings embosslit die

Do you also recognised anything new? The sentiment and punch used to cut out the sentiment are products that you can earn free during sale-a-bration which starts on Jan 22nd. Check back then to see how you can earn these free products.

Happy Stamping.

This stamp set is available for £17.95 in clear and £21.95 in wood and comes with 9 stamps. If you'd like to order a set for yourself please get in touch.

Happy stamping and thanks for stopping by.

Christmas craft class

Many thanks to all those that came to my class last night and made it so enjoyable. I have some cards to blog about today from a previous class. You'll have to wait a bit longer to see what we made last night as running the same class next Thursday and I want it to be a bit of a surprise for my ladies.

These are cards from a Christmas craft class in Messingham, N. Lincs. In this class we make 3 cards and is the class I run with my Mum, I designed the two cards above and she designed the third card.

The card on the left is using paper from the festival of prints paper pad and using the bells and boughs stamp set. It's coloured in using SU inks and blender pens. The middle card, yes it's that stamp set again...lol. Can you tell it's one of my favourites? It's usng the owl occasions again and some retitred SU ds paper, lots of different stampin markers and if you look carefully we used a roller stamp for the background. The final card is one I also taught at my Carterton classes in November  using the Christmas deer stamp set and shimmer paint for the background and for the snowflakes.
Happy stamping.

Owl Birthday Cards

Hello again, I'm back today with a couple of birthday cards using the same owl occasions stamp set that I used in yesterdays Christmas card. This time I made two birthday cards, one for my Dad and another for a good friend. I used the same ds paper (floral district) and just used those papers that fitted a man or lady better. I also used the stitched ribbon on both cards, just different colours. The round sentiments were made with of my newish SU sentiments stamp sets called a fitting occasion (pg 101 of annual catalogue), this is a great stamp set and can be used for many different events.

If you'd like to place an order please get in touch, delivery can be anywhere in the UK.

Also my classes are up and running again, the first one is tonight. I'm fully booked but may have space for next Thursdays class.

Happy stamping.

Pink Owl Christmas Card

Happy new year to you all, wishing you a very happy 2013 with lots of happiness and creativity. One of my new year resolutions is to get up to date with my blog. So expect a few posts over the next few days, whilst I catch up.

Here's the first card that I made for a friend who loves owls.
I used the owl occasions stamp set and the 'be of good cheer' ds paper. I chose some of the paper out of the pack that has a bit of pink in it as that's her favourite colour. The owl was stamped using the stampin write markers directly on the stamp, the main body is in rose red. The sentiment is from the wacky wishes hostess set.
Thanks for stopping by, pop by tomorrow and I'll show you a couple of birthday cards I made using the same stamp set.
