Mocha Morning 60th Birthday Card

Morning all. Today I have my MILs 60th birthday card to share with you. I got inspiration for this card from Carole who runs the monthly crop I go to. She had this fantastic card design last month to show us all. I used a blank card and decorated it to make it appropriate to send to my MIL for the birthday. It starts out as just one piece of card that is cut and folded to give the appearance of a book.

I've used mocha morning specialty papers with are amazing, some of the papers are flocked and so pretty. The 'Mum' lettering is make using retired SU transfers.

I've used some stamps from the Everything Eleanor stamp set and the butterflies from the SU beautifulwings embosslits in wistera wonder. The tags have the organza ribbon attached to the top so you can pull them out of the little pockets.

Thanks for looking.

I've used rose red and whisper white cardstock and some garden green for the leaves. I've used the scoreboard to create the background. Other prodcuts on my card include Twitterpated papers, apothecary art stamps, framelits dies, blossom punch, circle punches and boho blossoms punch.

Thanks for looking and if there's anything you'd like to order please get in contact (details in the contact me tab).

Christmas box

Another box that I've made recently. This one is for Christmas, yes I know it's still July, but I thought I'd get ahead and make some Christmas things.

I've used my new jumbo wheel; sparkling. I've also used the scallop trim border punch.

For the embellishments I've used the bird builder punch for the robin (with a rhinestone eye) and leaves and some ribbon to hold it closed.
If you want to see the full range of Christmas stamps and products that SU do then click on the link to the catalogue on the right or get in touch if you'd like to see a catalogue in the flesh.

Birdhouse

Here's a cute birdhouse that I made at the crop I go to once a month. I had a great time as usual and manage to make a few projects. The first thing I made was this birdhouse following a tutorial by another SU demonstrator Jo Dumbleton

I've used cardstock in So Saffron, Certainly Celery and crumb cake. For the roof I've used paper from the subtles ds paper stack. The bird is make from the bird builder punch and the flower is from the boho blossums punch. I've also added some gems and a clip all from Stampin Up.
I think it's so cute. I hope to make some Christmas ones and cover the hole with acetate so I can add some sweets inside.

Teacher thank you cards

This is a card made by my youngest Son, Owen who's 4.
Stampin up products don't just have to be for adults, my boys love crafting. They even help when I'm crafting, they just love turning the big shot handle.

Anyway here's the card that he made for his pre-school teachers to say thank you.

He used the mixed bunch stamp set, blossom punch and 1" circle punch. He used some non-SU stash as well for the background, gems (lots of them) and thank you sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.

Butterfly prints

I had a workshop last week and this is what I had the ladies making. Thanks to my lovely hostess for all the cake and wine!! For the card we used the butterfly prints stamp set and butterfly punch, everyday enchantment papers, pool party card and pool party and calypso coral ink.

I also make an up-steped version, this used a background stamp (En Francais) in old olive and decorated it with some ribbon and a brad. SU have an offer this month which you can get the ribbons and a pack of brads for free. To qualify for the free products you just need to place and order for £45 or more. If you'd like to take advantage of this offer please get in touch.

Beautiful butterfly class

Here are the projects that I taught during my July classes, they were based around the beautiful butterflies die.

We made a box with a matching card and bookmark and a card using the Everyday Enchantment papers that are availble to buy during July only.
This is the gift set in perfect plum and rose red. We used the square lattice embossing folder to emboss some of the butterflies and background papers.

For this card we stamped the butterflies using a stamp from the tiny tags set.  The sentiment is from the sincere salutations stamp set and the center of the butterfly from the mixed bunch stamp set. We also used the oval and scallop border punch.

Thanks to all the lovely ladies that came to the class in Carterton or Messingham, I have such fun at my craft classes.

Lovely Trees

Morning all. I managed to play with the lovely trees stamp set for the first time yesterday, so I thought I'd show you what I came up with.

I made an inked background with daubers and Stampin up ink and stamped the larger of the tree stamp over the top. The happy birthday stamp is from the build a cupcake set (currently unavailable) and the birds from the up up and away stamp set.

Little monsters

I've been busy with classes recently and I'm now preparing for my next workshop later this week. As they'll be some kids there I've designed a card kit to keep them quiet whilst the Mums and doing there make and take. I saw some cut punch art monsters whilst blog hopping and thought they'd make cute cards.

I've done the samping and the punching already and made kits up for them to build up the monsters  and make this kids card.
I've used all SU cardstock and lots of SU punches: scallop circle, work window, modern label, 1" circle and 3/4" circle.
I'll be back later this week to show you the projects we make at the last lot of classes.
My next class is on Thursday in Carterton, I still have places if anyone wanted to book on, please get in touch.

Party invites

My eldest son is about to turn 6.
Arhhh he's growing up too fast. He's never had a big party before (don't worry we have always done something to celebrate!!!). This year we decided to throw him a party at a local hall.

I had 25 invites to make, I used the idea in the main SU catalogue. I printed all the details out and decorated the invites with bunting using the petite pennant builder punch and pennant parade stamp set. Between the bunting I put little flowers punched from an itty bitty punch and added the party sentiment.

Liam chose the colours, he went for bright and cheerful temping turquoise cardstock, daffodil delight, temping turquoise, real red and pumpkin pie ink.
They seam to have been a hit with his friends as they are a bit different to your normal invites.

Thnaks for stopping by,
