Handmade flower

I've been very busy the last couple of nights. I had my Stampin Up order arrive late on Friday afternoon. It was like Christmas again. I've been busy making some girly cards, Easter cards and little Easter egg packets using the pillow box die. I'll show you them next week, but todays card is based on a handmade flower that I made.
I've used crumb cake cardstock to make the card base. The papers are from the everyday enchantment papers (only free for another two weeks when you spend over £45 on SU products). I've used Marina Mist cardstock punched with the scalloped punch across the card. I've embellished it with a handmade flower.

The idea for the flower was taken from a demo at a crop I went to yesterday (thanks Carole). It started out as a scallop circle punched shape in whisper white card that's cut a short way down the sides of each scallop to give the appearance of petals, the flower was scrunched up, sprayed with water to allow you to separate the layers of card at the ends of each petal and makes it look like it's more than one piece of card. I've layered it together with a flower shaped piece of blue fabric (non-SU), a punched shape from the Boho blossoms punch and the middle was made using a stamp from the tiny tag stamp set inked in Calypso Coral. The tag is made using a "4 you" stamp from the tiny tag stamp set and punched out with the jewellery tag punch. The card, papers and tag are all inked around the edges with not quite navy ink.
I'd like to enter this into a challenge at
Simply stamping challenge (Challenge 51) which is "Totally tags"
Thanks for stopping by.
