November craft class makes

This month in Carterton, we've been busy with Christmas makes at my craft class. We made a cute penguin box and three Christmas cards.

This is the cute box made using the fabulous new curvy keepsake box die.

This card uses a stamp from the lovely as tree stamp set.

We also had a bit on embossing with pewter embossing powder using a new stamp set from the current autumn/winter catalogue.

And finally my favourite, a card in a box full of penguins and snowflakes.

Next month we'll be making a Christmas wreath and tags. Get in touch for more details.

August craft class makes

Evening, this post should go live just as I'm running the first of my October craft classes in Carterton. I thought I'd share our August class makes.
This includes one of my favourite decorations which were a big hit with those at the class.

This is a beautiful hanging we made by decorating a wicker heart I bought from The Range. We used a variety of flower punches, embossed the flowers then layered them. Some people chose to decorate using a large butterfly inplace of the owl and one lady even chose to change the sentiment to a Christmas one which worked brilliantly as she also added a red Santa hat to the owl.

This was our technique card using masking, I gave my ladies a choice to colour the images in using blender pens whilst others decided to leave it plain.

And finally a birthday card with a Lego theme. We also made another birthday card using the large happy birthday stamp, you can see a picture of this in the first photo.

Happy crafting and to join in at a future craft class please get in touch.

September Craft Class Makes

I have some class makes to show you. I may not be blogging very often, but I'm still very busy with crafting and stampin up. Follow me on FB for frequent updates and cards and projects I've made. Anyway here are the makes from Septembers class.

Here's the 3D box that we made. It was using the box maker scoreboard, which I just love. It can make boxes up to 4" square with all the measurements on the board in both metric and imperial.

If you have any questions please get in touch.

Teacher gifts and cards

My boys have been crafting over the weekend. They wanted to make gifts for their teachers. Between them they have a fair few teachers and TAs, so we had a 10 to make in total, they decided on little bags and put sweets in. They did most of it themselfves too except the gluing and loved spending time crafting with me.

We also make cards to go with it. We used the chalk pen to write on our pretend blackboard the names of each teacher. They are now halfway through writing personal messages to the teachers on the inside of the card.

I hope you like their makes and more importantally I hope their teachers do too.

Craft class - June makes

I've just finished my craft classes for this month.
We made three cards which involved using embossing and roller stamps.

My favouite was the box we made, you can see a couple more pictures below.

This was CASED from one I saw on Pinterest, but I altered the dimsensions so I could make it from a A4 sheet of card. I will try and get the dimentions on another post soon.

Project Life
You now have the chance to order some of the new Stampin Up Project range. This is in the new catalogue out next month, but some products are available now. I have some of the cards and I have to say I love them. It's a super quick way of scrapbooking if you are short on time, Just slide photos and cards into pockets and add extra embishments or text to your pages. I've had a go with my youngest son, who's 6, and he loved making pages for his scrapbook and choosing what cards to use.

You can see what products are avaible to buy now by clicking here

Brownie craft class - Fathers Day Makes

This weeks was my first kids class. I taught a group of 8 Browinies to make a Fathers day card and gift box. They all did very well and all managed to finish their projects and were very proud of themselfves.
In the boxes they put promsies they made to their Dads that they wrote on die cut shapes as well as some sweets for them. I'm not sure how many Dad's will get all the sweets come Fathers day though!

Here are the instructions to make the punch art aeroplane.
It doesn't say it on the sheet, but the small grey circles are the large eye circles from the owl punch.

Happy crafting.

New clear stamps from Stampin Up

Stampin Up have searched long and hard for just the right material to be able to introduce completely clear stamping. And they've found it! Stampin Up aew excited to announce that with the release of the upcoming 2014-2015 annual catalogue, we will have wood-mount, clear-mount AND photopolymer stamps. Our top-quality photopolymer stamps stick extremely well on our acrylic blocks, are durable, and the transparent nature of these sets makes it easier to line up your images without the need of a guide. This is a feature that is particularly helpful with alphabets, borders, and backgrounds! Photopolymer is clearly a great choice.

From today we are introducing a limited offer on select Photopolymer Stamp Sets. With every purchase of at least 75 €/ £60 worth of products, you'll receive a free photopolymer stamp set as a gift!

There are four stamp sets to choose from, click here for more details.

March Craft Class

Thanks to everyone that came to this months craft classes. I'd like to share with you what we made.
Our makes included a box, that I even gave thoes who came easter eggs to go in it.
The middle card used basic stamping to get everyone back into the class after the break.
We used a watercolour technique this month for two for the cards, for the tree card we created the background and the other used waterpens to colour in the lion stamped image.

The next classes will take place in Carterton on the 6th and repeated on the 8th May.
Please get in touch to book a place.

Birthday card in a box

Today I have a special card to show you. It's a birthday card for my SU Mummy. She is an inspiration and gave me a lot of support especially in my early SU days. Happy birthday Roz xx

I've done another card in a box, but this card has different dimensions to my Christmas one so it fits in a standard C6 envelope. I've used the this and that papers and flower shop stamps and punch.

Happy crafting.

Valentines card

Morning all, another quick post from me today, this is a DT card I made which I've blogged about on my other blog here. I thought I'd show it here too as it used Stampin Up papers that I bought very recently from the SU clearance rack. The heart was even part of the pack as well.

More cards from a craft class - Messingham Dec 2013

And here are some more cards from a craft class I held last year. This was December's class in Messingham.
You'll spot the same card in the box card as I taught at the November class in November, it was very popular in the Carterton class so I taught it again.

We used the scoreboard to make a Christmas cracker

The final card was a thank you one, but some chose to use a birthday sentiment instead. We used the butterfly stamp set and punch and the gorgeous grunge stamp set. I just love the colour combo we used.

Thanks for stopping by and again if you want any info regarding the exact details of the products used please get in touch.
